Part XI: America and the World
As discussed at the Cambridge hearing, this section is hopelessly inadequate to address the international issues facing our country. To the extent that the Platform Committee votes to keep this section in the Platform document, it should at least make sure that the treatment of issues is even-handed. Thus, for example, if the right of Israel to exist is mentioned, there should be a comparable mention of the rights of Palestinians to a homeland.
